PET Scanner
Positron Emission Tomography (PET) scans can identify not only the presence but also the level of activity of cancer cells by a new method known as molecular imaging. With the benefit of these tests, doctors can determine with more precision where the cancer cells are located and can also monitor how well the treatments are working. Our PET Scan team includes Dr. Daniel Cham, Nuclear Medicine/PET Radiologist and co-author of a current desktop physician resource textbook on PET Scanning. Our Chief Technologist, Jonathan Rigutto, is an experienced and fully dedicated Nuclear medicine/PET Technologist. They are assisted by our nursing team, making I.V. access and the whole experience remarkably comfortable for the patients.
