Our Practice
We are a specialized hematology and oncology practice providing state-of-the-art treatments for adult patients with any type of cancer or blood disorder. We have been in operation for 20 years, and we care for thousands of patients every year. Our practice includes 11 medical oncologists, 5 offices, and over 100 highly trained and experienced staff members. We offer the best current treatment options, including not only chemotherapy but also immune therapies, angiogenesis inhibitors, targeted therapies, and the latest and newest clinical trial programs. Targeted therapies, including monoclonal antibodies and small molecules, allow us to fight cancer cells more precisely and with fewer side effects.

We value the quality of our patients’ lives, and we focus on treating their disease effectively and efficiently, while also preventing the side effects of therapies. We pay careful attention to treatment planning and coordination, as well as patient and family education. We use the best available tools and methods to diminish treatment side effects, so that our patients can feel well and remain active. We have produced one of the world’s most comprehensive series of medical publications on the quality of life of cancer patients.

Clinical TrialsThe strength and scope of our program’s infrastructure supports our ability to provide the highest level of clinical care and, when appropriate, to offer the option of participation in clinical trials. As members of the UCLA Affiliated Translational Oncology Research Network and the National Surgical Adjuvant Breast and Bowel Project, as well as many other research programs nationally and worldwide, we bring to our patients the best medical care and the newest options through active clinical trials. When it comes to helping our patients, we move forward fast.

Specialized ProgramsWe have specific expertise and have performed and published groundbreaking research in the areas of anemia, nutrition, nausea control, control of cancer spread to bones, and reduction of chemotherapy side effects. In addition, we offer specialized programs, such as outpatient anticoagulation for patients with new or established thrombosis (blood clots), or increased risk for thrombosis. When medically indicated, we provide infusions of intravenous immune globulin, monoclonal antibodies, and many other intravenous treatments that require specialized outpatient services.

Leadership and ExperienceOur Team has led or participated in the research and development of new treatments for many malignant diseases and blood disorders, including new treatments for breast cancer, prostate cancer, colon and rectal cancer, lung cancer, cancer involving the bones, pancreatic cancer, ovarian cancer, head and neck cancer, stomach cancer, multiple myeloma, lymphoma, leukemia,kidney cancer, malignant melanoma, liver cancer, anemia, nausea, pain control, and low white cell counts, to name a few.
